Macao Residence Authorisation: what should I check first?

This page relates to the Government's Residence Authorisation—Other Persons service. It helps you organise a first reading, but does not mean you are eligible or that your documents are sufficient.

01 · First, check these points

Should you start with the general residence service?

  • Your principal situation is not the specific family, student, non-resident worker or Talent Recruitment procedure.
  • You can prepare material linked to your reason for application, not only a passport.
  • You can check your Macao address, means of subsistence, identity/travel documents and any further case material before submission.

02 · What to do next

Take the route one step at a time

  1. 01

Rule out a more specific route first

If family, employment, study, talent or Major Investment is your principal basis, compare the relevant public service first.

  2. 02

    Organise case-based material

The official page lists application forms, identity/travel documents, stay slips, address, means of subsistence and case-dependent family or supporting material.

  3. 03

    Keep the receipt after submission

Applications may generally be made in person or by a lawful representative. Follow the original-document, rectification and progress instructions on the current official page.

03 · Prepare before you use the official service

Build a working document folder

  • Valid passport/travel or identity document and the relevant stay slip
  • Material connected with the application reason, Macao address and means of subsistence
  • Where applicable: photographs, family information, declarations, criminal-record or guarantee material

04 · Final official check

Confirm live requirements on the original public page

Forms, fees, time limits, booking, platform access and individual requirements can change. Use the responsible authority's page before you submit.
