Macao student stay permit: how do non-local students apply?
‘Macao student visa’ is a common expression; the official service is the Non-local Student Special Stay Permit. The route starts with admission and the online system, not a general residence application.

Have you been admitted by a Macao higher-education institution and started your student-stay arrangements?
- You have confirmed enrolment, student-record information and the institution's part of the process.
- You can apply through the official online integrated system within the applicable period.
- You can bring the original travel/identity document used for the application and the application QR-code record as instructed.
02 · What to do next
Take the route one step at a time

Submit online first
The official page requires the applicant to submit through the Non-local Student Special Stay Permit online integrated system and receive an application QR code.

Complete the remaining in-person procedure
Bring the original passport/travel/identity document used for the application and a QR-code screenshot. Minors must be accompanied as required by the official service.

Use the receipt for progress and changes
Keep the receipt and check progress by its specified date. Check the relevant official procedure for transfer of institution/course, extension, document changes or ending study.
